Gala & Auction Questions

What are the COVID-19 safety protocols for this event?

Please note, upon arrival all attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative PCR test received within 48 hours of the event. Antigen test results will not be accepted.

Where do I go to access the auction?

The auction will go live on February 2nd at 10:00 AM. The auction link will be available then.

How long will the auction available?

The auction will go live on February 2nd at 10:00 AM and will close on February 12th at 8:00 PM.

What if I don’t have a phone?

No problem! While it will be more convenient for you to have a cell phone with you, we will have volunteers stationed near the auction items with iPads ready to assist you when you are interested in bidding on a particular item. It will be your responsibility, however, to check back with them throughout the evening to see if you have been outbid.

How do I check out?

If you are bidding from home: Upon registration, you will be required to input your credit/debit card information. To check out after the auction or to check out early, you can click the red “Pay” button at the top of the webpage. Complete the steps to pay for your items, and we will organize how to get them to you (see below). If you do not check out by Monday, February 14th at 12:00PM, we will automatically check out for you.

If you are bidding at the event: You can pay for your items on your phone with your registered credit/debit card. You can also visit the checkout desk with assistance on how to checkout. You must visit the checkout desk to receive your items.

I’m not attending the gala. How will I receive my items if I’ve won?

You can organize to pick up your items at the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival offices, located at 3732 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64111. If you need your item mailed, please call us at 816-531-7728 to get delivery arranged.

I don’t want to attend the gala. Can I still bid on items in the auction?

Yes! On February 2nd, information will be released so you can create an account to view and bid on auction items. This will not charge you for a Gala ticket.

How will I be notified if I’ve won an auction item?

You can view the items you won under MENU/MY ITEMS after the auction has closed at 9:00 PM. Please see a volunteer if you have any questions.

How do I register to bid?

For those not attending the gala, we will provide the auction registration link on February 2, 2022.

Gala attendees should already have the auction link in their emails. Near the top Auction home page, look for a pink button that says “GO”. You will need to enter in your mobile number, payment details, and general information to create an account. Once you’ve finished registering, you will need to login, so remember your password!

My partner and I want to bid together. Can we create a joint account?

Yes! You won’t need to make two accounts. Simply add both of your first names into the first name section when registering.

Can I change the credit card on my ClickBid account?

Yes. Login, and click the settings icon located next to your name. This will give you the ability to enter different card information.

If I need help, who do I call?

You can reach us Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM at 816-531-7728. During the day of the gala (February 12th), we will have trained volunteers ready to assist you onsite. If you are bidding from home, please ask your questions before the day of the gala, as we will be unable to answer the phones the day of the event.

I want to bid, but I’m not great with computers. What should I do?

Call us before the event at 816-531-7728 or you can ask a volunteer. We will have trained volunteers onsite, ready to assist you with any questions you have about the auction!

What if I can’t figure this out or have questions any step of the way?

Our biggest priority is making sure you enjoy the evening while raising funds in support of the amazing people we serve. To help make that happen, we will have volunteers stationed throughout the ballroom and behind the auction tables to answer any questions you may have.
