Honorary Chairmen, Jack and Karen Holland

Honorary Chairmen, Jack and Karen HollandJack and Karen Holland have devoted years of community involvement in Kansas City and Seaside, FL. They met at the University of Missouri, have been married 47 years, and are fortunate to have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Jack is Managing Director of Stifel in Kansas City. He is an attorney and entered the investment banking business in 1976. His experience includes a broad range of public and development finance transactions having been involved in hundreds of public financings for clients throughout the Midwest and Southwest. He has participated in many of the region’s most significant financings over the last 35 years including: Truman Sports Complex, Sprint Arena, KCI Airport, Kansas turnpike, Kansas Speedway, Springfield-Branson Airport and the Brush Creek Improvement Plan. Jack is currently President of the Kansas City Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and has served on a number of other Boards including: World War I Museum, Theater League, Avila University, Studios Inc., REACH Healthcare Foundation, Kansas City Consensus, Missouri Reapportionment Commission, The Kessler Society, and the Western Golf Association.

Karen is the quintessential civic volunteer. She received her Master of Arts from UMKC. Her current Board positions include: Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Kemper Museum (Trustee), WaterFire KC (Founder), Studios Inc (Artist Patron), Escape to Create (VP), and Seaside Town Council (President). Her past volunteer Board positions where she served as the Chair include: Missouri Arts Council, Crossroads Arts PIEA, Missouri Cultural Trust, Kansas-Missouri Cultural Commission (Bi-State), KC Municipal Art Commission, CowParade KC (Founder), Mayor’s Corps of Progress, and Coterie Theatre. Her past volunteer Board positions include: Mid-America Arts Alliance, Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri Humanities Council, Film Commission of Greater KC, Seaside Rep Theatre, Late Night Theater, and The Seaside Institute. Awards: 2018 The Missourian Award, 2018 ARTSKC Virtuoso Award Finalist, 2014 Honorary Chair – 20th Year Kemper Museum Gala, 2002 Corporate Wizard – The Spelman Medical Foundation, 2001 Woman of the Year – The Association of Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City.
