Poster and Sonnet Contests
For Youth Artists and Writers as well as Adult Writers
The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival will once again sponsor its Poster and Sonnet Contest for Youth. It is an opportunity for area student artists to display their talents in design using the inspiration of Shakespeare's works. There is also an adult sonnet competition.
2013 Sonnet Contest Winners
Grades 4 - 12 and Adult Categories
Sonnets written by students throughout the metro area in grades 4 - 8 and 9 - 12 were entered and judged in the Festival's 2013 Sonnet Contest. The contest also includes an Adult Category. The winners of this year's HASF Sonnet Contest were given a public reading and awards on May 6, 2013 at the Plaza Library. Read all the winning sonnets here.
