Sidonie Garrett
Executive Artistic Director
Sidonie Garrett is the Executive Artistic Director of the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival where she directed Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet (awarded Best Play by Pitch Magazine), Julius Caesar, Much Ado About Nothing, King Henry V, Romeo and Juliet , Othello, The Merry Wives of Windsor , King Richard III, Macbeth and our two-show repertory productions of Antony and Cleopatra and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Ashlea Christopher
Director of Education
Ashlea Christopher has several years of experience as a teaching artist with the Festival prior to being hired as Director of Education. She has a Master’s degree in theatre from the University of Kansas and two undergraduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Ashlea is also a member of Actors’ Equity Association and has worked as a professional actor and stage manager at several local theatres.
Elizabeth Cooper
Operations and Community Relations Manager
Elizabeth Cooper has been with the Festival for three seasons, managing day to day administrative matters, coordinating volunteer activities and overseeing daily operations.
Matthew Rapport
Education Associate
Matt Rapport has been a performing arts teacher in and around Kansas City for over 15 years.
