Spring Conservatory (12-18) AND Class for Home School Students (7-12)

Shakespeare Conservatory Class

Ages 12 – 18, January 28-May 6

(no class Feb 18 or Mar 18)

Mondays 6:30-8pm

This advanced master class is for students with experience in theatre who are interested in learning more about the craft of acting through the works of the world’s greatest playwright. Students will spend class time working in-depth on monologues and scenes that will help them develop acting skills. Students will also have the opportunity to audition for Festival's Executive Artistic Director, Sidonie Garrett. Conservatory students will also be eligible to audition for Team Shakespeare, the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s apprentice troupe.

Bonding with the Bard

Ages 7 – 12, January 28-Mar 25

Mondays 1:30-3

This class is an eight-week session where homeschool students ages 7-12 participate in vocal and physical warm-ups, acting games, improvisations, and scene work from Shakespeare’s plays. This is an opportunity to further explore the richness of Shakespeare’s language and how it is performed on the stage. The class will culminate in an in-studio performance on March 25^th at 2:15pm.
